Why do I take professional portraits?

Headshot photography was not something I saw myself getting into early in my career as a photographer. My love of photographing people has always lived within the interactions between people in love - family members, couples, parents + babies, etc. After taking professional portraits of people for the last few years, I can easily say it is one of my absolute favourite parts of photography. First of all, I love talking to people. Second, I love hearing about what people do and what their goal in having their photo taken is. I also love chasing that perfect light and that beautiful backdrop that will contribute to each individual person’s experience and ultimately, the finished product.

Am I the right photographer for you?

I could sit here and talk about how I can help elevate your business with a great headshot, but it's deeper than that for me. Any type of photography I do, headshots included, is about connection. I can't take a proper portrait of you without connecting with you first. Sometimes we are together for a mere 15 minutes. It's my job in that small amount of time to get to know you and pull that to the surface so that others can see YOU when they first see your image. People might think a headshot is just about being in a nice outfit and smiling at a camera but it's more than that.
