BVAS Alberta Culture Days 2014 Workshop
A few weeks ago I had the privilege of photographing the Burns Visual Arts Society 2014 Alberta Culture Days Workshop. Let me tell you, I have never seen so much beauty and creativity in one place. BVAS is a space provided for a variety of talented artists, each with their own artistic vision and medium.
Alberta Culture Days allows Calgarians to check out BVAS and partake in different workshops taught by the artists. It gives people a chance to try something completely brand new, creative, and exciting. Personally, getting to witness this for an afternoon made me wonder why I've never participated in anything like this before. I've been missing out. All of the artists at BVAS were so wonderful to talk to and to get to know a little bit. The wide variety of work I saw that day blew my mind. There are so many talented people in this city and I feel honoured that I got to see a handful of them in action, doing what they love, and sharing that with others.
