An 80th To Remember
Janet turned 80. Anyone and everyone who could make it showed up. People from her past and her present. She was SURPRISED. And it was beautiful. I’ve gotten emotional when photographing weddings before but this was a first. A misty eye behind the lens, I photographed her as she hugged each and every single person in that room. As her daughters paid tribute to her in their speeches, it was all too clear that we were all in the presence of a very special woman, and even if everyone already knew it, they were reminded of it on this day - the day they celebrated her 80th year on this planet.
