The Allen Family
I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family last month while on a quick trip to Edmonton! (Yes, I do travel for photoshoots). There's only one thing I love more than photographing adorable families... and that is photographing adorable families with pooches! This guy.... his name is Hank. Hank the tank for sure. He was such a sweetheart and so cute with the kids. Also.. this little guy was the best. He's a boy after my own heart - making faces left, right and centre.
I've said it before, and I will say it again, being invited into someone's home to photograph them and their family, is just incredible. This is a big reason I love newborn photoshoots! While I love outdoor shoots and the ability to use natural light to my heart's content, there is something so special and unique about a family's personal space. Their decorative touch, the comfort of home, the detail they've put into their children's rooms/nurseries. I find that photographing within someone's home tells a real and complete story. A story of love and connection. Of safety and belonging. So thank you! Thank you to the Allens and to all of the families who I have had the honour of photographing, both in and out of their homes.
