To say I had fun photographing this little guy and his mama would be an understatement. Have you ever seen a cuter pair? One of my favourite things about this shoot is the email I got from his mom before it even happened. The way she described her son’s personality was one of the sweetest things I’ve ever read. I love that parents know their children through and through and no one else knows them better. Everything she said about him was 100% true and the three of us had a blast.

People tell me I’m good with kids and that I’m good at photographing kids and while this is true (because I love them and their silliness), the true heroes in a shoot are the parents. This mom brought every single adorable face and reaction out of him. Often the only thing I can take credit for as a photographer is good timing and getting my photos in focus. I mean yes I interact with clients and especially with kids to help keep the smiles coming, but there’s no chance I could bring out these reactions on my own. Only a mom or Dad who knows and loves their child can create this. See for yourself!
