Sunday morning coffee + scones
So this January has been a tough one for me. I’ve been dragging my feet and feeling incredibly uninspired. I had a couple of shoots and that helped perk me up but otherwise, I’ve had a hard time seeing what’s in front of me. This.. unfortunately means that I’ve been slacking in all things business. I think I figured out part of the problem, other than it being January of course and as my friend says “January is the Monday of the year”.. AMEN. I haven’t been photographing for myself for a long time. I’ve put all personal photography on the furthest back burner over the past year because 2019 was really busy. That’s just not right and it doesn’t feel good.
SO, it didn’t take me very long to come up with an idea for a personal project because I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time. Combining two things that I love to do, but that I don’t make enough time for. Cooking/baking and photography that’s just for me. It takes quite a bit of extra time to do, but as often as I can, when I’m cooking or baking, I’ll be taking photos of the process and sharing those photos whenever I feel like it.
Here’s the first one! Roasted pear, cinnamon and chocolate scones. Oh my goodness were they delicious. My husband actually found this recipe and said we should make them together. They turned out way better than expected, especially because this was our first time making scones. Here’s the result! + some cameos from a certain little floof.
